A great big field and play areas brought lots of fun and running around...and cotton candy brings a smile to most kids’ faces. . We got to hear just how much Jesus loves US. That means YOU! and ME!!! Exciting Mission Opportunity to Kenya with our church district! Here is part of an email .. and to WATCH THE LIVESTREAM INFO MEETING today, click the link at the bottom! —- Good evening everyone, Victor Morrison, your District W&W coordinator here. I want to let you know of an opportunity coming next fall for a Work and Witness trip to Kiatine, Kenya. Kiatine is a rural village northeast of Nairobi that I’ve been leading teams to since 2012. In September 2020, I will be leading a team focusing on medical clinics, Jesus Film ministry and pastoral teaching. The medical clinics are typically held in the local church or out under a tree. Even if people don’t have any medical background, I have a place for them. If they can count, ever used a Band-Aid, read the letter E ... If none of that’s their gig, just working the crowd as they wait to be seen. Obviously, anyone with medical skills can be put to work too. It’s my opinion that every Christian should experience a Jesus Film event. It has been a highlight of each of our trips. The nightly events are typically 4-6 hours of worship, preaching, viewing the Jesus Film in the national language of the viewer and prayer. It’s not abnormal to see miraculous healings, demon exorcism and many new believers come to a personal relationship with Christ. We are also in need of musically inclined team members to sing or play instruments for the events. Team members will also get some time to visit the Kiatine Orphanage and play with the kids. Beyond Work and Witness, we will experience a 3 day/2 night safari at one of Kenya’s renown game parks, lodging at a luxury resort and being pampered. The opportunity to see the amazing animals of the savanna up close and personal is on many people’s bucket lists. When I say this opportunity is open to everyone, I mean everyone - Nazarene or not, Christian or not, age 9 to well over 9. If God is calling someone to participate, I’m happy to have them join the team. ••• I will be holding an informational meeting on August 11th at 1pm. I will be live streaming via my Facebook account. Warm up for the Honduras church dedication tonight! Their District Superintendent is there & the church is looking great! (Photo and video in comments) Continue to pray for the dedication (started at 4pm our time) as well what’s going on with the local protests (so the team can maneuver around them to get into the campground!)
